Starbase Louisiana is planned for southern Vermilion Parish near Pecan Island, while Abbeville — the parish seat — hosted the official announcement and is expected to play an important role as activity surrounding the project grows.
Workers will arrive. Contractors will establish relationships. Businesses will expand. Families will relocate. Meetings, celebrations, grand openings and community events will follow.
